Starcut powers launch of Zagat Survey's new mobile website

Mobile Web Site Specialist Extends Zagat’s Reach to More Than 200 Million Web-Enabled Mobile Devices in the U.S.

New York, NY – October 8, 2007 – Starcut, a leading global provider of mobile software tools and technology, is powering Zagat Survey’s new mobile Web site – ZAGAT.mobi.

ZAGAT.mobi is available on 200 million-plus Web-enabled mobile devices in the U.S., providing consumers information about local restaurants, nightspots and hotels.

ZAGAT.com subscribers will have the ability to log in and access the same ratings and reviews – as they would on any desktop computer - plus get added features like sending a restaurant’s contact information to a friend via SMS and finding nearby alternatives.

"For a mobile Web site to be valuable to the user, it must be easy for the customer to navigate and access as well as visually appealing," said Nina S. Zagat, co-Founder and co-Chair, Zagat Survey. "Starcut’s proven expertise and impressive client base were key factors in our selection of them for powering ZAGAT.mobi."

Launched in late August, ZAGAT.mobi is built and powered by Starcut’s MediaOne Platform, a software solution that allows any brand to extend its presence to the mobile environment and do so with high quality design and usability. ZAGAT.mobi is ad-supported and features Visa Signature as the launch sponsor.

"The most popular mobile Web sites are those that are simplistic in nature, placing the highest priority on the user experience while also incorporating high quality design," said Juha Tiihonen, CEO of Starcut. "The Starcut MediaOne platform is the optimal tool to arrive at a great mobile presence and the demand for it is increasing as evidence by our recent new clients like Zagat."

The engagement with Zagat is the latest inked by Starcut already working with clients like The New York Times and Maxim in the publishing space. The company’s suite of software solutions allows any media property and brand to enhance their mobile presence quickly and easily.

"Zagat Survey has long been a source of exceptional local content that subscribers have returned to over and over again," said Ludovic Collin, Vice President and General Manager of Starcut USA. "By extending ZAGAT.com to the mobile phone and creating a mobile presence that is easy to use and works well within the confines of a smaller screen, subscribers will visit the site more often creating additional value for Zagat in terms of driving additional subscriptions and incremental advertising dollars."
